Payroll in Swansea, run on time for a fixed fee
Payroll Swansea is what most owners ring us about once there are more than two people on the books. We run it for shops, takeaways, care staff and office teams across the city.
The thing that keeps owners up is a late RTI submission, or a pension letter nobody opened. We handle both for a fixed fee agreed before we start, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice in Cardiff Bay that runs payroll for employers in Swansea and across South Wales on a fixed fee agreed in advance. RTI filings, payslips and pension auto-enrolment are handled in house, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your payroll in good hands? Three questions.
Answer with the buttons, no email needed.
Question 1 of 3
Does your payroll get filed with HMRC on time every month without you chasing anyone?
Do you know your payroll fee will not change this year?
If HMRC queried a payroll filing tomorrow, would someone deal with it at no extra cost?
Three noes means the payroll is being carried by you, and the penalties land on your company. Start the check and we will tell you what we would take off your plate.
Start the checkThe basics are being covered, so you are in a reasonable position. One of those gaps is worth a ten minute conversation before the next pay run.
Start the checkThree yeses means you are well served and there is nothing urgent here. Read the guides and come back if your headcount changes.
Read the guidesWhat you get
HMRC investigation cover at no charge
Every client gets tax investigation cover included free, because we carry it ourselves instead of selling it on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
Everyone paid on the right day
Payslips, RTI submissions and pension uploads go out on your pay date. You approve the figures and we file them.
Work we do without adding a charge
When Companies House brought in director ID verification, other firms charged around £50 a head. We did it free for every client already with us.
What Swansea employers tell us when they call
Three things we hear most weeks from owners running payroll themselves.
“I filed the run four days late and now there is a penalty letter from HMRC on the desk.”
The penalty lands, and the submission still has to be corrected afterwards.
“Our accountant bills for every phone call, so I worked out the maternity pay myself and hoped.”
A wrong statutory payment comes out of the business, and staff notice it before you do.
“I have taken on two more staff and I have no idea what the pension side wants from me.”
Auto-enrolment duties sit untouched until The Pensions Regulator writes to you.
What changes once we take it on
You send us starters, leavers and hours. We run the payroll, send payslips, file the RTI submission and upload the pension contributions on time. When something odd comes up mid-month, you ring us and it costs nothing.
How we compare with payroll billed by the task
Plenty of firms run a competent payroll. The difference shows up between pay runs.
Payroll billed by the task
You get a competent run each month.
A maternity pay question lands on the invoice.
The fee moves when starters and leavers appear.
An HMRC payroll query is quoted separately.
With Supreme Consultants
One fixed fee agreed in writing before we start.
Calls, meetings and emails are never billed.
Starters, leavers and pension uploads are part of the run.
Tax investigation cover is included free.
Eight questions about your current payroll set-up
A yes means it is covered, a no means it is sitting with you.
Is every RTI submission filed on or before the pay date?
Late submissions attract penalties that build month on month.
Do new starters get a payslip in their first month?
A missing first payslip is usually the sign records went in late.
Are pension contributions uploaded to the provider every run?
Unuploaded contributions become a Pensions Regulator letter.
Do you know who works out statutory sick and maternity pay?
If nobody owns it, it gets guessed at.
Does a leaver get a P45 without you asking twice?
Chasing a P45 for an ex-employee takes longer than issuing one.
Is your employment allowance claimed for this tax year?
It only applies once a year and it is easy to leave unclaimed.
Can you ring your accountant about a pay query without being billed?
Billed calls mean owners sit on questions until they get expensive.
Would someone answer an HMRC payroll letter for you at no extra cost?
That is the point at which most owners find out what their fee actually covers.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!

Who we are not right for

We cannot take on a business that is already late in an HMRC investigation.
If none of those is you, the three questions above will tell you where you stand.
Payroll Swansea: questions people ask
What does payroll in Swansea cost?
You pay one fixed monthly fee, agreed in writing before any work starts. It covers the run, RTI filings, payslips, starters and leavers and pension uploads. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged for. We quote after a free introductory chat, once we know your headcount and pay frequency, rather than guessing at a number.
How do I switch payroll from my current accountant?
You tell us to go ahead and we do the rest. We complete your ID checks, agree the fee, then send a professional clearance letter to your current accountant so your payroll records come straight to us. You do not have to have that conversation. The first month is free and the handover costs nothing.
What happens if HMRC writes about our payroll?
You send the letter to us and we deal with HMRC directly. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, because we carry it rather than selling it as an add-on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. There is no extra charge for the calls or correspondence involved.
Do we have to change payroll or accounting software?
No. We work with what you already use, and we will say so if the set-up is causing errors. If you want to move your bookkeeping to Xero we migrate you free of charge. Nothing changes in the middle of a tax year unless you ask us to change it.
Can you run payroll in Swansea for weekly paid staff?
Yes. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly runs are all handled on the same fixed fee, which matters for shops, takeaways and care staff where hours change every week. You send the hours, we process the run and file the submission before the pay date, then confirm what to pay HMRC.
Do we have to come to Cardiff Bay for meetings?
Not unless you want to. We are based at Titan House in Cardiff Bay and happily meet in person, but most Swansea clients work with us remotely or as a mix of the two. Over ninety per cent of our hundred plus clients are in South Wales, so we know the ground.
