Payroll services for South Wales employers, run on time for a fixed fee
Payroll services are usually the first job an owner hands over, because payday comes round whether the hours have been checked or not.
Most employers ring us after a late RTI submission, a pension letter nobody opened, or a leaver who was paid the wrong final amount. We agree the fee before we start, calls and emails are never on the invoice, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice in Cardiff Bay that runs payroll for employers across South Wales, including payslips, RTI filings and auto-enrolment, on a fixed fee agreed before work starts. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your payroll in good hands? Three questions.
Answer with the buttons, no email needed.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your payroll fee will not change this year?
If HMRC queried your RTI filings tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
If none of those is a yes, the gap is real and it usually shows up on payday. The check takes two minutes and tells you what we would look at first.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position and one of those answers is worth a conversation. Run the check and we will tell you which one is costing you most.
Start the checkThree yeses means you are well served and there is no reason to move. The guides are there if you want to sanity check a specific filing.
Read the guidesWhat you get
Tax investigation cover included free
We cover it ourselves for every client, where other firms sell it as an add-on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
Payday happens without you chasing it
Payslips, RTI submissions and pension uploads go out on schedule. You check the hours and approve, and we file.
Ring us about a leaver and it costs nothing
You get a reply the same working day, and no invoice for the call. Ask the small questions while they are still small.
What employers tell us before they move their payroll
Three things we hear most weeks from owners across Cardiff and Newport.
“A penalty notice turned up for a late RTI submission and nobody could tell me what had gone wrong.”
The penalty stood because the filing history was never checked. It was the fourth month in a row the run had gone in late.
“Our pension re-enrolment letter sat on the desk for two months because I did not know what it was asking for.”
The declaration was filed after the deadline and the staff contributions had to be backdated by hand.
“I emailed about a leaver’s final pay on the Monday and heard nothing until the following week.”
The run went out with the wrong figure and a correction filing was needed to put it right.
What changes once we take it on
You get one person who runs the payroll and answers the questions about it the same working day. The run date, the RTI deadline and the pension declaration all sit in a diary we keep, not in your inbox. If something looks wrong in the hours you send, we tell you before we file.
How this compares with the usual arrangement
Plenty of firms run payroll perfectly well. The difference is what happens between the runs.
Payroll bolted on by the hour
Questions answered when someone gets to them.
Extra time billed for a mid-month leaver.
Pension duties left with the employer.
Investigation cover sold as an add-on.
With Supreme Consultants
A reply the same working day, every time.
A fixed fee agreed before we start.
Auto-enrolment handled with the run.
Investigation cover included free.
Eight questions about your payroll set-up
Answer these honestly and you will know whether payday is actually covered.
Do you know the date your RTI submission goes to HMRC each month?
If the date lives in somebody else’s head, late filing penalties follow.
Has anyone checked your PAYE account for penalties in the last year?
Charges sit there quietly until a demand arrives.
Do your payslips go out before payday, not on it?
Staff should see the figure before the money lands.
Is your pension declaration of compliance up to date?
Re-enrolment comes round every three years and the letter is easy to miss.
Do you get a reply the same working day when a leaver comes up?
A slow answer means a wrong payslip and a correction filing.
Are statutory sick and maternity payments being reclaimed correctly?
Money you are entitled to goes unclaimed when nobody checks.
Does your fee stay the same when headcount moves by one or two?
A fee that drifts upward mid-year was never really fixed.
Would someone deal with HMRC for you if a PAYE check opened?
Cover is included free with us, so that question has an answer.

What a same working day reply is worth on payday
A Cardiff retailer with eight staff had a leaver going on the Friday and no idea what to pay for untaken holiday. The hours were due with us that afternoon.
Clients described by type. Names withheld.
- How it was found
- The owner emailed before ten and had the final pay figure back before the run closed.
- What happened
- The payslip went out correct, the RTI submission went in on the run date, and no correction filing was needed.
Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

Four steps, and most of the work sits with us.
- Before you join
A straight answer on fit
Book a time and tell us where things stand. If we cannot genuinely help, we will say so.
- Week one
Fee agreed and records moved
We complete your ID checks, agree the fixed fee in writing, and write to your current accountant for the payroll records. You do not have to have that conversation.
- First month
Your filing history reviewed
We get appointed as your agent with HMRC and go through the RTI history, pension declarations and any penalties. This is where appeals and corrections usually come out.
- By ninety days
Every payroll deadline diarised
Run dates, RTI submissions, pension uploads and the year end are mapped for the year ahead. We also talk through how you pay yourself.
Who we are not right for
We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not act for charities.
We do not take on businesses that are already deep into an HMRC investigation.
If none of those describes you, run the check and we will tell you what we would pick up first.
Payroll services: questions people ask
How much do payroll services cost?
You pay a fixed fee agreed in writing before we start, based on how many people you pay, how often you run payroll and whether pensions are involved. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged for. We quote after a free introductory chat rather than guessing, and the figure does not move through the year.
Can you take over payroll from my current accountant mid-year?
Yes. We write to your current accountant for professional clearance and the year-to-date payroll records, so you do not have to make that call. We get authorised as your PAYE agent with HMRC, check the filings already made, and pick up from the next run date. The handover costs nothing.
What happens if HMRC writes to us about PAYE?
Send it to us the day it arrives and we deal with HMRC directly. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, so there is no extra bill for the work. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. The sooner we see the letter, the more we can do with it.
Do we have to change payroll software?
No. We can run payroll on what you already use, and most employers carry on exactly as they are. If you want to move your bookkeeping to Xero we migrate you free as part of switching. We will tell you honestly if your current set-up is causing the problem.
Can you run payroll services for a single director company?
Yes. Director-only payroll is common and we handle it alongside your year-end accounts, corporation tax and self assessment. We also talk through how you pay yourself, salary against dividends, so the monthly figure fits the way you actually take money out of the company.
What else do you handle alongside payroll?
Bookkeeping, VAT, year-end accounts, corporation tax and self assessment, with over 100 clients across South Wales and the UK. We also look for things outside the filings. One Cardiff retailer was still paying full business rates through Covid because the council needed an application, and we recovered £10,000.
