Newsletter

Our newsletter tells you what the next tax deadline means for your business.

It goes out every other Tuesday and takes about four minutes to read. You get the dates coming up, the Welsh rules that affect them, and one thing worth changing in your records.

Here is what lands in your inbox every fortnight.

Four things in every issue, written the way we would explain them to you across the desk.

The deadlines coming up

Every VAT, payroll, accounts and self assessment date in the next few weeks, with what you need ready before each one.

Welsh rules worth knowing

Rates relief, Cardiff Council processes and devolved changes that accountants outside Wales miss, set out in plain English.

A real client problem, unpicked

One case from the month, such as a £20,000 HMRC debt or payments on account set far too high, and how it got resolved.

One thing to fix in your books

A single habit or setting to sort this fortnight, and what it saves you when the year end comes round.

The newsletter is written for people who run their own business in South Wales.

If you recognise yourself in any of these, the content will be useful to you.

  • You run a limited company, a partnership or your own sole trade across South Wales or Bristol.

  • You or someone in the business keeps the bookkeeping going alongside the day job.

  • You run a community interest company and want the annual CIC reporting kept right.

  • You let property, run a shop or pay a small team and want filings in on time.

NoteMudassir runs the practice side of Supreme Consultants from Titan House in Cardiff Bay. The same questions come up on the phone every week, so rather than answer them one call at a time, we write the answer down and send it to everyone on the list.
BackgroundWe started the firm in 2022 with Shaista Awais, a MAAT accountant who was previously head of accounts at a large Cardiff firm, and we now act for over 100 clients, more than 90% of them in South Wales. The newsletter comes out of that daily work: the Spar franchisee still paying full business rates through Covid who got £10,000 back once someone applied for the relief, and the Companies House ID checks we did free for every existing client when other firms were charging around £50 a head.

Questions people ask before they subscribe.

If there is something else you want to know, call 029 2264 0550 or email info@supremeconsultants.co.uk and you will have a reply the same working day.

How often does it arrive?

Every other Tuesday. If a rule changes or a deadline moves and it cannot wait, you will get a short note in between.

What is actually in it?

Deadlines, Welsh rules, one real client case and one practical thing to change in your records. It is written to be used, then filed.

Does it cost anything?

No. Subscribing is free and it does not put you into a sales sequence or a call rota.

How do I unsubscribe?

One click at the bottom of any issue takes you off the list straight away. We will not ask you why.

Put your email in and the next issue comes to you on Tuesday.

Four minutes a fortnight, covering the deadlines ahead of you and what to do before each one arrives.
