Accountants in Newport who answer the phone and agree the fee up front
Accountants in Newport are usually called when a VAT letter lands, or when the last firm stopped replying. We are based at Titan House in Cardiff Bay and look after Newport businesses in person and remotely.
Newport is twenty minutes down the M4, so you get the same meetings our Cardiff clients get. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client we act for, and every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice at Titan House in Cardiff Bay that acts for Newport owner-managed businesses on bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, year-end accounts and tax. Fees are fixed and agreed in writing before work starts. Tax investigation cover is included for every client.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your accountant doing these three things?
Three questions, answered with a button, and you see where you stand.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your fee will not change this year?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
That is a real gap, and it usually shows up at the worst moment, when a letter or a deadline lands. Start the check and we will tell you what we would do differently.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position on most of it. The one you answered no to is worth a conversation before the next filing date.
Start the checkYou are well served and there is no reason to move. The guides are there if you want a second view on a specific decision.

Tax investigation cover at no extra charge
We pay for it ourselves for every client we act for. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
Welsh rules that are easy to miss
A shop franchisee came to us still paying full business rates through Covid, because the council required an application nobody had told him about. We found it in the first meeting and recovered £10,000.
A fee you know before we start
A fixed fee agreed in writing, and calls, meetings and emails are never charged for. Ring us when the till roll will not add up and it costs nothing.
What Newport owners tell us when they call
These are the three things we hear most often in a first conversation.
“HMRC sent me a letter about a VAT return and my accountant has not come back to me.”
Two weeks went by before anyone replied to HMRC, and the surcharge was already running.
“I got an invoice for a ten minute phone call, so now I just sit on the questions.”
The question he sat on was a second van, and he bought it the wrong way.
“My accounts turned up nine months late and nobody explained the corporation tax bill.”
He had no warning of the payment date and had to find the money in three weeks.
What changes once we take it on
Every deadline is diarised for the year ahead, so you are not the one chasing us. You get a reply the same working day, and a time for the full answer if it needs longer. If HMRC writes, we answer it.
How we compare with the accountant you have now
Plenty of firms file good accounts. The difference shows up between the filings.
The usual arrangement
Accounts and returns prepared properly and filed on time.
A call or an email can appear on the next invoice.
Replies come when the partner gets to them, sometimes a week later.
Tax investigation cover is offered as a paid add-on each year.
With Supreme Consultants
Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, accounts and corporation tax in one place.
Calls, meetings and emails are never charged for.
A reply the same working day, with a time if the answer needs longer.
Tax investigation cover included free for every client we act for.
Eight questions about your current set-up
Answer these honestly and you will know whether a move is worth making.
Did you get a reply the last time you emailed your accountant?
We come back the same working day, every time.
Was your fee the same this year as last year?
Ours is agreed in writing before any work starts.
Have you ever been billed for a phone call?
Calls, meetings and emails are never on our invoice.
Do you know your next VAT and corporation tax dates?
We map every deadline for the year ahead so nothing arrives unannounced.
Did anyone explain your last tax bill to you?
We talk you through the figure before the payment date.
Are your accounts filed within four months of year end?
Early filing often reduces payments on account for the year ahead.
Would HMRC correspondence be handled without an extra fee?
Investigation cover is included for every client we act for.
Has anyone checked your rates relief or Welsh entitlements?
We review the devolved rules an accountant outside Wales can miss.

Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

How switching to us works
You say yes, and we do the rest of it from our side.
- Before you join
A free introductory chat
Tell us where things stand. If we cannot genuinely help, we will say so.
- Week one
Fee agreed, handover started
We complete your ID checks, put the fixed fee in writing and write to your current accountant for your records. You avoid that conversation.
- First month
Your past filings reviewed
We go through old accounts, returns and HMRC records. This is where missed reliefs, payments on account set too high and appealable penalties turn up.
- By ninety days
A plan for paying yourself
We talk through salary and dividends so you keep as much as possible while staying compliant, and tidy up your bookkeeping setup.
Who we are not right for
We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not act for charities.
We do not take on businesses already late into an HMRC investigation.
If none of those describe you, run the three questions above and we will tell you where you stand.
Accountants in Newport: questions people ask
How much do accountants in Newport charge?
We quote a fixed monthly fee and agree it in writing before any work starts. The figure depends on your turnover, whether you are VAT registered, transaction volume, payroll headcount and the state of your records. We give you the number after the introductory chat rather than guess at it, and calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top.
Can I switch to you from my current accountant part way through the year?
Yes, and most clients do. We write to your existing accountant for professional clearance and your records, so you never have that conversation. We get appointed as your agent with HMRC and Companies House, handle Companies House ID verification at no charge where it is required, and give you a free first month.
What happens if HMRC writes to me or opens a check?
You send us the letter and we take it from there, including the correspondence, the figures and any meetings. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client we act for, so there is no separate bill for the work. Every HMRC investigation we have handled for a client, we have won.
Do I have to change accounting software to work with you?
No. We work with the records you already keep, whether that is software, spreadsheets or a folder of invoices. If you want to move to Xero we migrate you across free of charge, and we will set the bookkeeping up properly while we do it. If your current system works, we leave it alone.
Do you have an office in Newport?
No. Our office is at Titan House in Cardiff Bay, about twenty minutes from Newport, and we act for Newport businesses both in person and remotely. We come to you, you come to us, or we do it over a call, whichever suits. Over ninety per cent of our clients are across South Wales.
Do you work with sole traders and community interest companies as well as limited companies?
Yes. We act for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, individuals and community interest companies, with particular depth in CICs, property and landlords, hospitality, retail and e-commerce, contractors and locums. We do not take on one-off self assessment or capital gains returns, because we look after clients through the year rather than each January.
