Accountants for community organisations in South Wales who answer the phone
Accountants for community organisations usually get called when a funder wants a quarterly spend report by Friday and nobody in the office can produce one.
Most groups we look after are run by people who do the work first and the paperwork at night. We write the funder reports, file the CIC accounts and the community interest report, and deal with HMRC for you. Tax investigation cover is included free.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice in Cardiff Bay that handles accounts, bookkeeping, payroll and funder reporting for community organisations and community interest companies across South Wales. The fee is fixed and agreed in writing before work starts, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your community organisation’s reporting in good hands? Three questions.
Answer with the buttons; there is no email to give.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Can they produce a funder spend report against budget without you chasing?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
That is a real gap, and it tends to show up on the week a grant deadline lands. Start the check and Mudassir will read your answers and come back the same working day.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position, with one part of it resting on you. Start the check and tell us which part, and we will say plainly whether we can take it off you.
Start the checkYou are well served and there is no reason to move. Read the guides, and keep our number for the week a funder asks for something new.
Read the guidesWhat you get
Tax investigation cover included, free
If HMRC opens an enquiry we deal with it and you do not pay us extra. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
The funder report on the day it is asked for
We write the quarterly and six-monthly spend, budget and forecast reports. You send them on without rebuilding a spreadsheet at the weekend.
A fixed fee, and calls are free
The fee is agreed in writing before we start. Ring us when a grant letter lands and it costs nothing.
What community organisations tell us when they ring
Three things we hear most weeks from CIC directors and committee members.
“Our funder wants a quarterly spend report and nobody here can produce it.”
They sent a figure that did not match the accounts and the funder came back with questions.
“We need the accounts early for the next grant deadline and our accountant has not replied.”
The bid went in without them and the organisation waited another round for the money.
“I am not sure our restricted grant income is shown in the right place.”
Restricted funds mixed into trading income make the accounts hard for a funder to read.
What changes once we take it on
We map every deadline for the year: CIC accounts, the community interest report, payroll and any VAT. Funder reports are written to the dates in your grant agreement. You ring us when something arrives and get an answer the same working day.
How this differs from a general accountant
Plenty of accountants file a good set of accounts; the difference shows when a funder asks for something.
An accountant who only files the year-end
Accounts filed, funder reports left with you.
A call back when they get to it.
Longer phone calls appear on the invoice.
HMRC enquiry support sold as an add-on.
With Supreme Consultants
CIC accounts, the community interest report and the funder reports.
A reply the same working day.
A fixed fee agreed in writing before we start.
Tax investigation cover included free for every client.
Check your own set-up against these eight questions
Say yes or no to each one about how your organisation runs today.
Do you know the date your CIC accounts and community interest report are due?
Companies House charges a penalty when they go in late.
Could you produce a spend report against budget for any grant today?
Funders ask on their timetable, not yours.
Is restricted grant income recorded separately from trading income?
Funders read the accounts to see their money was spent on what they funded.
Are the books kept in cloud software rather than a spreadsheet?
Cloud records let us pull a funder report without waiting for your files.
Are directors paid through payroll with RTI submissions filed?
Payments made outside payroll cause a correction later.
Have your directors completed Companies House ID verification?
We do the verification free for clients.
Do you know whether the organisation has to register for VAT?
Trading income counts towards the threshold even when grants do not.
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, do you know who would answer it?
For our clients the answer is us, at no extra cost.

Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

- By ninety days
Reporting running to your grants
We sit down with you on bookkeeping and how directors are paid. You know what is coming up and who to call.
Who we are not right for
CIS construction subcontractors: we do not take that work on.
Registered charities: we look after CICs and community interest companies, and we do not prepare charity accounts.
Organisations already late in an HMRC investigation.
If none of those describe you, answer the questions and Mudassir will come back the same working day.
Accountants for community organisations: questions people ask
What do accountants for community organisations charge?
We agree a fixed fee in writing before any work starts, based on what your organisation actually needs: the CIC accounts, the community interest report, bookkeeping, payroll and the funder reports. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top. We do not publish prices for CIC work because the reporting a funder asks for varies so much.
How do we switch from our current accountant?
You answer the questions on this page and we take it from there. We complete your ID checks, write to your current accountant for the records and get authorised as your agent with HMRC and Companies House. You do not have to make that call yourself, and there is no separate charge for the handover.
What happens if HMRC writes to our organisation?
You send us the letter and we deal with HMRC for you. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, where other firms sell it as an add-on for three hundred to one thousand pounds a year. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won, although that is past fact and never a promise about your case.
Do we have to change our accounting software?
No. We work with the cloud software you already use, and we keep your records up to date in it. If you want to move to Xero we do the migration free. If you are still on spreadsheets we will tell you honestly whether moving is worth it for the size of your organisation.
Are you accountants for community organisations outside Cardiff?
Yes. Over ninety per cent of our clients are in South Wales. After Cardiff we work most with organisations in Newport, Swansea, Caerphilly, Barry and Port Talbot, and some in Bristol. Work is done remotely, in person at Titan House in Cardiff Bay, or a mix of both, whichever suits your committee.
Can you write the reports our funder asks for?
Yes. We write quarterly and six-monthly spend, budget and forecast reports for more than ten CICs and grant-funded organisations. We work to the dates in your grant agreement and get the annual accounts ready early so they are available for the next bid. We can also introduce you to a fundraising consultant.
