Bookkeeping in Cardiff, kept up to date for a fixed fee
Bookkeeping in Cardiff is what most owners ring us about first, usually with a carrier bag of receipts and a VAT quarter closing in nine days.
Plenty of firms take your records, then bill you for the phone call when you ask what a payment was. We agree the fee in writing before we start, reply the same working day, and include tax investigation cover free for every client.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT registered accountancy practice at Titan House in Cardiff Bay that keeps bookkeeping records up to date for businesses across South Wales on a fixed fee agreed in advance. Calls, meetings and emails are never billed, and tax investigation cover is included free.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your bookkeeping in good hands? Three questions.
Answer with the buttons, no email needed.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your fee will not change this year?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
On all three counts you are carrying work and risk that your accountant should be carrying. The check takes a couple of minutes and tells us what your books actually need.
Start the checkThat is a reasonable position, and better than most owners who call us. There is one gap worth a short conversation before your next VAT quarter closes.
Start the checkYou are well looked after and there is no reason to move. Have a read of the guides if you want a second view on your bookkeeping setup.
Read the guidesWhat you get
Tax investigation cover at no charge
Every client has it, included by us rather than sold as an add-on. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
Books that match your VAT return
Bank, sales and purchases reconciled every month, so the quarter’s figures are ready before the filing date arrives.
A fee you know before we start
Agreed in writing in advance. Ring us when the till roll does not add up and it costs you nothing.
What owners tell us when they call
Three things we hear most weeks from Cardiff business owners.
I am doing the books at eleven at night and I still cannot tell you what I made last month.
Decisions get made on the bank balance instead of the numbers, and the VAT bill lands as a shock.
My accountant only looks at my records once a year, and then asks me about invoices from last March.
By then the receipt is gone, the cost goes unclaimed and the tax bill is higher than it needed to be.
I got an invoice for a ten minute phone call, so now I just do not ring them.
The small questions sit unasked, which is usually where the money quietly gets lost.
What changes once we take it on
Your records are reconciled monthly and the VAT figures are ready ahead of the deadline. You get a reply the same working day, every time, and the fee stays where we agreed it. When something looks odd in the bank, you ring us and ask.
How this compares with a once a year accountant
Both get the accounts filed. The difference is when you find things out.
A once a year accountant
Records looked at after the year has ended
Phone calls and emails billed by the hour
Fee confirmed after the work is done
Tax investigation cover sold as an extra
With Supreme Consultants
Records reconciled every month
Calls, meetings and emails never charged for
Fixed fee agreed in writing before we start
Tax investigation cover included free
Eight questions about your bookkeeping setup
A yes means it is already covered.
Is your bank reconciled to the end of last month?
Anything older than a month makes the VAT figure a guess.
Can you say what you made last month without opening the bank app?
Monthly numbers let you price and buy on fact.
Are your purchase receipts captured as you go?
Missing receipts mean unclaimed costs and a bigger tax bill.
Does someone check your VAT figures before you file?
A second look catches the wrong rate before HMRC does.
Do you know what your bookkeeping will cost this year?
A fee agreed in writing up front means no surprise invoice.
Can you ring your accountant without being charged?
Free calls are how the small questions get asked.
Are your payroll and bookkeeping handled by the same firm?
One firm means the wages figures land in the accounts correctly.
Is tax investigation cover already in place for you?
Ours is included free for every client.

Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

How switching your bookkeeping to us works
Four stages, and most of the work is ours rather than yours.
- Before you join
A free introductory chat
Tell us where the records stand and what is behind. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
- Week one
Set up and handed over
We do your ID checks, agree the fixed fee in writing and write to your current accountant for your records. You avoid that conversation.
- First month
Your records reviewed in full
We go through past accounts, returns and HMRC records. One retail franchisee was still paying full business rates through Covid, and we recovered £10,000.
- By ninety days
Every deadline in the diary
VAT, payroll, accounts and corporation tax dates are mapped for the year. We tidy the bookkeeping setup and migrate you to Xero free if you want it.
Who we are not right for
We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not act for charities.
We do not take on businesses that are already late in an HMRC investigation.
If none of those apply, run the check and we will tell you what your books need.
Bookkeeping in Cardiff: questions people ask
How much does bookkeeping in Cardiff cost?
You pay one fixed fee, agreed in writing before any work starts, and it does not move during the year. What it comes to depends on your turnover, whether you are VAT registered, how many transactions and payslips there are and how tidy the records arrive. We quote after the introductory chat rather than guess. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged for.
How do I switch bookkeeping from my current accountant?
You tell us to go ahead and we do the rest. We complete your ID checks, agree the fee in writing, then send a professional clearance letter to your current accountant so they pass your records to us directly. You do not have to make that call. The handover is free, the first month is free, and we get authorised with HMRC and Companies House for you.
What happens if HMRC writes to me or checks my records?
Send us the letter and we handle it. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, where other firms sell it as an add-on, and every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. We deal with the correspondence, pull the records together and tell you what to expect and when, so you are not interpreting HMRC letters on your own.
Do I have to change my bookkeeping software?
No. We work with what you already use. If you want to move to Xero we will migrate you free, set it up around how your business sells and buys and show you the handful of things you actually need to click. If your records are on spreadsheets or in a box, we will take those too and tell you honestly whether moving is worth it.
Can you catch up bookkeeping that is months behind?
Yes, that is a regular job for us. We rebuild neglected or lost records, reconcile them back to the bank and bring overdue VAT returns and filings up to date. We will be straight about how long it will take and the fee is agreed before we start. One caveat: we do not offer one-off self assessment or capital gains returns, so this suits owners who want ongoing support.
Do you only work with businesses in Cardiff?
Cardiff first, from our office at Titan House in Cardiff Bay, but we also act for clients in Newport, Swansea, Caerphilly, Port Talbot, Barry and Bristol, plus a number elsewhere in the UK. Some clients we see in person, some are fully remote and plenty are a mix of the two. You get the same reply time either way.
