Limited company accounts filed on time for a fixed fee
Limited company accounts are usually the last piece a VAT-registered owner wants handled, after the quarterly VAT returns, the bookkeeping and the monthly payroll run.
Most owners who call us have accounts that land nine months after the year end, with a corporation tax bill nobody has explained. We put the VAT, the books, the payroll and the year end on one timetable. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice in Cardiff Bay that prepares and files limited company accounts and corporation tax returns for South Wales companies, alongside VAT, bookkeeping and payroll. Fees are fixed and agreed before work starts. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Are your limited company accounts in good hands? Three questions.
Answer by button. No email address needed.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your fee will not change this year?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
On all three counts you are carrying work that should sit with your accountant. Run the check and we will tell you what we would do differently and what it would cost, before anything starts.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position, and one of these is worth a conversation. Run the check and we will look at the gap rather than sell you the rest.
Start the checkYour accountant is doing the job properly, and you should stay put. The guides are there if you want to read up on the year-end timetable.

Tax investigation cover at no charge
Other firms sell it as an add-on. We carry it ourselves for every client, and every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
One fee for the whole compliance year
VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, year-end accounts and corporation tax under one fixed fee agreed before we start. Calls, meetings and emails are never on the invoice.
Your corporation tax explained before it is due
We compute the tax alongside the accounts and tell you the figure and the date in plain terms, with the reliefs you are entitled to claimed.
What owners tell us when they ring
These are the three things we hear most from company directors in Cardiff and Newport.
“My accounts turned up nine months after the year end and the tax bill was already overdue.”
The money had been spent. The director paid interest on a figure he could have known about months earlier.
“HMRC wrote about a VAT quarter and my accountant wanted a fee before he would even read it.”
Two weeks went by before anyone replied to HMRC, and the director handled the first letter himself.
“I got invoiced for a ten-minute phone call, so now I just do not ring.”
He sat on a question about a second van for a year, and the VAT treatment cost him.
What changes once we take it on
Every deadline for the year is mapped in week one, so you are not the one chasing us. The accounts and the corporation tax are prepared from bookkeeping we have already checked each quarter. You ring us whenever you want and it costs nothing.
How this compares with the usual arrangement
Plenty of firms do good work on this basis. Here is the difference in practice.
A year-end-only accountant
Accounts prepared months after the year end
Bookkeeping and VAT handled somewhere else
Phone calls and emails billed by the hour
Investigation cover sold as an extra each year
With Supreme Consultants
Books checked each quarter, so the year end is quick
VAT, payroll, accounts and corporation tax in one place
Calls, meetings and emails never charged for
Investigation cover included free for every client
Eight questions about how your company accounts are run
If you answer no to three or more, there is work sitting with you that should not be.
Do you know the date your accounts are due at Companies House?
The penalty starts the day after the filing date and climbs the longer it runs.
Is your bookkeeping done through the year rather than in one go at the year end?
Twelve months of receipts in one box is where errors and missed costs come from.
Do your VAT returns and your year-end accounts come from the same records?
When they do not match, HMRC notices before you do.
Does anyone check your corporation tax for reliefs before it is filed?
Reliefs you are entitled to are only claimed if somebody looks for them.
Did you know your fee before the work started?
We agree the figure in writing first and it does not move.
Can you ring with a small question without getting an invoice?
The small questions are usually where the money gets saved.
Has anyone talked you through salary and dividends this year?
How you pay yourself changes what you keep, and it is worth revisiting annually.
If HMRC opened a check tomorrow, is it covered?
Our clients are covered free, and we deal with HMRC ourselves.
What we do for your limited company accounts
The full compliance package for a VAT-registered company, handled in one place.
All Services- Year-end accounts
- Statutory accounts prepared and filed at Companies House to the deadline, from records we have already checked.
- Corporation tax
- The CT600 computed and filed alongside the accounts, with the figure and the payment date given to you in plain terms.
- VAT and bookkeeping
- Quarterly returns filed under Making Tax Digital, with the books kept current so nothing is reconstructed in month nine.
- Payroll and auto-enrolment
- Monthly runs, pension duties and the director’s own pay, so your people are paid and HMRC stays happy.
- Director’s self assessment
- Your personal return prepared from the same numbers, including dividends, so the two agree.
What the investigation cover means when a letter arrives
A VAT-registered retail client opened a letter from HMRC querying one quarter’s return. We had the file in front of us that day and dealt with HMRC directly.
Clients described by type. Names withheld.
- How it was found
- The client forwarded the letter the morning it landed and we replied to them the same working day.
- What happened
- The correspondence was handled by us and the client was never invoiced for the cover or the calls.
Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

How switching to us works
From your side it is mostly a matter of saying yes.
- Before you join
A free introductory chat
Tell us where things stand. If we cannot genuinely help, we will say so.
- Week one
Fee agreed and records requested
We complete your ID checks, put the fixed fee in writing, and write to your current accountant for the handover. You do not have that conversation.
- First month
Your last accounts reviewed
We go through your filed accounts, returns and HMRC records. This is where missed reliefs and appealable penalties usually turn up.
- By ninety days
Deadlines mapped and pay plan set
VAT, payroll, accounts and corporation tax diarised for the year. We also talk through salary and dividends so you keep as much as you can.
Who we are not right for
We do not act for CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not take on charities.
We do not pick up businesses that are already some way into an HMRC investigation.
If none of those describe you, run the check and we will tell you where you stand.
Limited company accounts: questions people ask
How much do limited company accounts cost?
We work on a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing before any work starts, and it does not move during the year. What sets it depends on your turnover, whether you are VAT registered, how many transactions and payroll staff you have, and how tidy the records are. We quote after the introductory chat rather than guess at it.
Can I switch accountants partway through my financial year?
Yes, and most clients do. We write the professional clearance letter to your current accountant and collect your records, so you avoid that conversation. We then get appointed as your agent with HMRC and Companies House. Switching includes a free handover, free Companies House ID verification where required, a free first month and free migration to Xero.
What happens if HMRC writes to me or opens a check?
You forward us the letter and we take it from there, dealing with HMRC directly on your behalf. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, where other firms sell it as a yearly add-on. Every HMRC investigation this practice has handled, we have won. We cannot promise an outcome, but you will not get a separate bill for the work.
Do I have to change my bookkeeping software?
No. We work with the system you already use, and we will tell you honestly if it is causing problems. If you do want to move to Xero, the migration is free when you join us. Making Tax Digital for VAT needs compatible software, so we will check yours meets the requirement before your next return.
When are limited company accounts and corporation tax due?
Statutory accounts are due at Companies House nine months after your accounting reference date, and the corporation tax payment is due nine months and one day after your year end. The company tax return itself is due twelve months after the year end. We diarise all three in week one and work to our own earlier dates.
My accounts and filings are already late. Will you still take me on?
Yes. Rebuilding neglected records and bringing overdue filings back up to date is work we do regularly. We start with your HMRC and Companies House position so you know exactly what is outstanding, then file in the order that limits the penalties. Where a penalty can be appealed, we will appeal it.
