CIC accountants in Bristol who file your accounts and your grant reports
CIC accountants Bristol is a search most directors make the week a funder asks for a spend report nobody in the organisation can produce.
We are over the bridge in Cardiff Bay and work with Bristol CICs remotely or in person at Titan House. You know the fee before we start, calls and emails are never charged, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client.

It prepares CIC accounts, the community interest report and the spend, budget and forecast reports funders ask for, on a fixed fee agreed in writing before work starts, with tax investigation cover included.
Check we’re the right fit
A few questions about your business. Mudassir replies the same working day.
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
Is your CIC in good hands? Three questions.
Answer by button and the result appears here.
Question 1 of 3
Does your accountant reply the same working day?
Do you know your fee for the year will not move?
If HMRC wrote tomorrow, would they deal with it at no extra cost?
Three noes means your funder reports and your filings depend on somebody answering. Start the check and Mudassir reads your answers and replies the same working day.
Start the checkYou are in a reasonable position and one of these is worth a conversation. Start the check and tell us which one is the problem.
Start the checkThree yeses means your CIC is well served and you do not need us today. Read the guides and come back if the funder reporting changes.
Read the guidesWhat you get
Tax investigation cover at no extra cost
If HMRC opens an enquiry we deal with it and you pay us nothing more. Other firms sell this as an add-on for £300 to £1,000 a year. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.
The report your funder asked for, on time
We write quarterly and six-monthly spend, budget and forecast reports. You send them on the day the funder asks.
CIC accounts and the CIC34 filed together
Annual accounts and the community interest report go in on the same timetable, ready early when a bid deadline is coming.
What CIC directors tell us when they ring
These are the three things we hear most from community interest companies in Bristol.
“Our funder wants a quarterly spend report by Friday and nobody here can produce it.”
The report gets written in a spreadsheet at midnight and the figures do not match the bookkeeping.
“We need the accounts early for the next grant deadline and our accountant has not replied.”
The bid goes in without current figures, or it does not go in at all.
“We are not sure our restricted grant income is shown correctly in the accounts.”
A funder questions the numbers and the directors cannot explain where the money sat.
What changes once we take it on
Your bookkeeping is kept current, so a funder report is a print, not a rebuild. We map every deadline for the year: the CIC accounts, the community interest report, corporation tax and each funder date. You ring us when a funder changes the format and it costs nothing.
How this differs from a general accountant
Plenty of accountants file CIC accounts well, so the difference is what sits around them.
A general accountant who sees your CIC once a year
Accounts filed, with the community interest report treated as an afterthought.
Funder spend reports sit outside the engagement.
A ten minute call about a grant deadline appears on the next invoice.
HMRC enquiry work is quoted when the letter arrives.
With Supreme Consultants
CIC accounts and the community interest report prepared and filed together.
Quarterly and six-monthly spend, budget and forecast reports written for your funder.
Calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top.
Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.
Eight questions about your CIC set-up
Answer these honestly before your next funder report is due.
Can you produce a spend report against budget this week?
If it takes a weekend, the bookkeeping is behind.
Is restricted grant income shown separately in your records?
Funders check this before they release the next payment.
Do you know the filing date for your CIC accounts?
The community interest report goes in with them.
Has anyone explained your corporation tax position?
A CIC with trading income still has a tax return to file.
Are your bank records reconciled to the end of last month?
Current figures are what a bid needs.
Do you get a reply from your accountant the same day?
Grant deadlines do not wait a week.
Will your fee change if you ring three times this month?
Our calls, meetings and emails are never charged.
If HMRC opened an enquiry, who pays for the work?
With us it is included free for every client.

Reviews from clients
Thank you Mud, your help and support with my VAT return is greatly appreciated. Always a prompt response and my difficult VAT return was quickly submitted and resolved. Would definitely recommend.
I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!
Friendly, nice 👌 , helpful and great all around
Difficult to describe as there are too many words that can be expressed for a wonderful accountant and their firm.
Definitely 🔝 and highly recommended in Wales 🏴 and throughout the UK for Accountancy and Tax Services

Getting started
Four steps from your first answers to knowing where your CIC stands.
- Before you join
A fixed fee in writing
You answer a few questions on the site. Mudassir reads them and replies the same working day. If we are a fit, we agree your fixed fee before any work starts.
- Week one
Your records moved for you
We complete your ID checks and write to your current accountant for the records, so no director has to make that call. HMRC and Companies House authorise us as your agent.
- First month
Every deadline mapped
We go through past accounts, returns and HMRC records. Unclaimed reliefs, payments on account set too high and penalties worth appealing turn up here. We map the year ahead, including funder dates.
- By ninety days
Reporting that runs itself
We sit down with you on the bookkeeping set-up and how directors are paid. You know what is coming up and who to call.
Who we are not right for
We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors.
We do not do charity accounts, so a registered charity is better served elsewhere.
We cannot take on a business already late in an HMRC investigation.
If your CIC sits outside those three, start the check and Mudassir will tell you straight whether we fit.
CIC accountants Bristol: questions people ask
What do CIC accountants in Bristol charge?
We agree a fixed fee in writing before any work starts, based on what your CIC actually needs: the accounts, the community interest report, the bookkeeping and the funder reporting. Calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top. We do not publish prices for CIC work, because the reporting a funder wants varies so much between organisations.
How do we switch from our current accountant?
You answer the questions on this page and we reply the same working day. If we are a fit, we complete your ID checks and write to your current accountant for the records, so no director has to make that call. We register as your agent with HMRC and Companies House. There is no separate charge for the handover.
What happens if HMRC writes to our CIC?
Send us the letter and we deal with HMRC for you. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, where other firms sell it as an add-on for £300 to £1,000 a year. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. We cannot promise an outcome, and we say so plainly.
Do we have to change our accounting software?
No. We work with what you already use and keep your records up to date in it. If you want to move to Xero we do the migration free. If your funder needs a particular report format, we build it from your existing records rather than making you start again mid year.
Can you write the spend reports our funder asks for?
Yes. We write quarterly and six-monthly spend, budget and forecast reports for more than ten community interest companies already. We work to the funder’s format and dates, so you send the report the day they ask for it. We also have accounts ready early when a grant deadline is coming.
Are you close enough to Bristol to look after our CIC?
We are at Titan House in Cardiff Bay, over the bridge, and Bristol is a neighbouring market we work in. Most work is done remotely, with meetings at Titan House or online when you want to sit down. You get a reply the same working day wherever your office is.
