Payroll in Port Talbot, run on time for a fixed fee

Payroll in Port Talbot is what a lot of employers call us about first. Payslips are due Friday, the pension submission has not been made, and the RTI filing is already late.

Most owners we meet are not worried about the software. They are worried about who answers when a member of staff queries a payslip or HMRC sends a letter. We reply the same working day, calls are free, and tax investigation cover is included free for every client.

In one lineSupreme Consultants is an AAT licensed accountancy practice in Cardiff Bay that runs payroll for employers in Port Talbot and across South Wales, covering payslips, RTI submissions and auto-enrolment, on a fixed fee agreed before work starts, with tax investigation cover included free for every client.

Is your payroll in good hands? Three questions.

Answer with the buttons; nothing is sent and no details are taken.

Question 1 of 3

Does your accountant reply the same working day when payroll goes wrong?

What you get

Tax investigation cover included free

If HMRC opens an enquiry we deal with it and you do not pay us extra. Every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won.

Payslips and RTI filed on time

Your staff are paid on the same date each month and the RTI goes to HMRC on or before payday.

Ring us on payday for nothing

Calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top of the fixed fee agreed before we start.

What Port Talbot employers tell us about their payroll

Three things we hear most weeks from owners who run a payroll.

  • I ran payroll late last month and now there is a penalty letter from HMRC I do not understand.

The filing went in after payday, so the charge stood until somebody appealed it.

  • My accountant sends the payslips three days after payday and I take all the calls from staff.

He spent every month apologising to his own team for someone else’s timetable.

  • I took on my first employee and nobody has mentioned the pension to me at all.

Auto-enrolment duties start on the day someone is hired, and the date had already gone past.

  • What changes once we take your payroll on

We process the pay run, send the payslips and file the RTI on the same schedule every month. Pension submissions go in with it. The fee is agreed in writing before we start and ringing us costs nothing.

How this compares with the payroll set-up most owners have

Both arrangements get payslips out. The difference shows up when something goes wrong.

A general accountant fitting payroll around everything else

Payslips arrive when the year-end work allows.

A ten-minute call about a leaver reaches the invoice.

Investigation cover is an add-on at £300 to £1,000 a year.

You chase for an answer and hear back next week.

With Supreme Consultants

Payslips and RTI go out on the same date every month.

Calls, meetings and emails are never charged.

Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.

A reply the same working day, every time.

Eight questions about the way your payroll runs now

Answer these about this month’s pay run rather than a good month.

  • Do payslips reach your staff before payday every month?

If they land late, your team chases you instead of the payroll provider.

  • Is the RTI submission filed on or before the day you pay people?

Filing after payday is what brings the late filing charge.

  • Are pension contributions submitted every pay run?

Missed submissions pile up and the provider asks for the lot at once.

  • Do you know what your payroll will cost you this year?

A fixed fee agreed before we start means the number does not move.

  • Can you ring about a leaver without it reaching an invoice?

Calls, meetings and emails are never charged here.

  • Does somebody check holiday pay and statutory pay for you?

These are the entries staff query most and the ones that get missed.

  • Would somebody deal with HMRC if a payroll letter arrived?

Tax investigation cover is included free for every client.

  • Has anyone looked at how you pay yourself as a director?

We go through salary and dividends with you by ninety days.

I just want to say a big thank you to Mudassir for all the advice, guidance and help he has provided whilst dealing with my accounts and tax returns. From start to finish the service has been excellent and professional. Unlike other accountancy firms they provide a friendly personalised service, I was very clear on the process and was even provided with additional guidance where needed. Highly recommended!

Payroll Port Talbot: questions people ask

How much does payroll in Port Talbot cost?

We work on a fixed fee agreed in writing before any work starts, based on how many people you pay and how often you pay them. It does not move during the year, and calls, meetings and emails are never charged on top. Answer the questions on this page and we come back the same working day.

How do I move my payroll from my current accountant to you?

You answer the questions on the site and we agree the fee. Then we write to your current accountant for the payroll records and the year to date figures, so you do not have to make that call. In week one we complete your ID checks and get authorised with HMRC as your agent.

What happens if HMRC writes to me about my payroll?

Send the letter to us and we deal with HMRC for you. Tax investigation cover is included free for every client, and every HMRC investigation we have handled, we have won. One client came to us owing HMRC around £20,000 across three taxes; we went through every line, filed early and the interest on that part was written off.

Do I have to change payroll software to work with you?

No. We can run your payroll on the software you already use, or move you onto ours if the current set-up is causing the problem. Clients who want to move their bookkeeping to Xero get that migration free. We tell you which option is less work before anything changes.

Do you run payroll for Port Talbot employers from Cardiff?

Yes. We are at Titan House in Cardiff Bay, half an hour along the M4, and most of the work is done remotely. You can come to the office, we can come to you, or the whole thing can run by phone and email. Port Talbot is one of the South Wales towns we cover.

Is there anyone you will not take on for payroll?

We do not take on CIS construction subcontractors or charity accounts, and we cannot help a business that is already late in an HMRC investigation. Everything else trading in South Wales is welcome: limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and community interest companies. If we are not the right fit, we say so the same working day.
