What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle the personal data you give us when you subscribe to our email newsletter. It does not cover the separate information we hold about clients in the course of providing accountancy services, which is dealt with in our client engagement terms.

What data we collect

When you sign up to our newsletter, we collect the information you enter into the sign-up form. This is your email address, and your name if you choose to provide it.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We use this data to send you our newsletter and occasional updates about our services, tax reminders, and related news. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when you sign up. You are free not to subscribe, and doing so has no effect on any other dealings you have with us.

How long we keep it

We keep your newsletter sign-up data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending you the newsletter and remove your details from our active mailing list.

Who we share it with

We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) to manage our mailing list and send our newsletters. The data you provide is stored and processed by Brevo on our behalf as a data processor. We do not sell your data or share it with any other third parties for their own marketing.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to ask us to delete it. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, either by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email or by contacting us directly.

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
